“Is it just me head going mad?”

‘Spirit’ as a term covers a multitude of more precise definitions, from the classic genius loci to deity, to ghostly apparitions, faery, daemonic entities, and egregores of events and groups, to name but a few. Do they exist, in the normal sense of that word, as discrete things in a parallel dimension? Are they merely figments of our imaginations? Or, perhaps something else entirely?
