Julian Vayne is an occultist and the author of a number of books, essays, journals and articles in both the academic and esoteric press. He is a freelance consultant, often working in museum and heritage settings, and lives in Devon. His name is most closely associated with the approach to occultism known as chaos magick. Steve Dee is a chaos magician, Amookos initiate and gnostic explorer who lives in Devon. He likes cats, drums, body surfing and very loud music.
Nikki Wyrd has practised doing Chaos Magick for 24 years so far. She could stop any time she wanted, but finds life a bit more exciting with it. Now living mostly in Norwich, she is currently occupied in creating books, and helping various pieces of writing by others attain maximum clarity (aka proofreading). She has worn many other hats, now and then, including punk bass guitarist, priestess, and parent.

Hi Joseph, assuming you’ve read some of the classic texts I’d suggest getting in touch with a network group such as the Pagan Federation (if you’re in Britain). Start a solitary practice first – meditation, circle casting, some seasonal observances. I wish you well in finding a good group to work with. JV

Indeed you do Zoltan! I got involved quite late in the day but admired much of what went on.
This book and blog resonate greatly with me. I’m excited to continue exploring the depths of my mind and connecting with the universal life force, or Baphomet. I have felt a disconnect from the earth and from the natural world for so long. I need a reconnect. I have formed a coven with two of my friends and we are just now beginning to explore the inner workings of our minds and connecting with the earth, celebrating its cycles and gifts.
To Julian Vayne; I just wanted you to know that I love all your books and articles and have found them to not only be informative but also very entertaining to read as well.
